The book comes to life.
Synopsis
One Hundred Years of Solitude (Cien años de soledad, 2024), Season 2 — eight episodes, watch online on iFILM. Netflix's Colombian adaptation of García Márquez's novel reaches the arc the book is remembered for most.
An armistice ends Colonel Aureliano's wars and sends him home emptied out. The banana company arrives on an "innocent train," bringing foreign capital and a kind of order that turns fatal. Fernanda del Carpio steps into the Buendía household — rigid, devout, entirely out of place in Macondo's fever logic. The season builds toward the massacre named in the episode title "More than Three Thousand of Them," then moves into four years of rain that scrub the banana era clean. Colombia's outdoor locations lend the adaptation the grounded, humid weight a magical-realist story needs to breathe. For readers of the novel it is a visual reckoning; for everyone else, a complete discovery. Stream One Hundred Years of Solitude Season 2 online on iFILM.
