Synopsis

Thirteen-year-old Jamie Miller is pulled from his home at dawn, suspected of murdering a classmate named Katie. His father Eddie stands in the hallway not knowing what to believe. DI Bascombe works Jamie's school for a weapon and a motive; his own son ends up being the one to break it open. In the third episode a psychologist sits alone with Jamie, and he slowly, reluctantly talks about his feelings toward the girl who died. The fourth episode is a birthday. Eddie's. The family tries to act as if everything is fine. It doesn't hold.
