Synopsis
The Gift (Atiye, 2019) is a Turkish mystery series you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Ozan Açıktan and produced by Netflix Turkey, it follows Atiye — a painter living a quiet life in Istanbul until an archaeological dig thousands of kilometres away changes everything. The site is Göbekli Tepe, widely considered the oldest temple complex ever uncovered. What one of the archaeologists finds there is a symbol Atiye has been drawing since childhood without understanding why.
Beren Saat plays Atiye: a woman with a composed exterior and a past she never fully examined. Mehmet Günsür is Erhan, the archaeologist who tracks her down and insists the link between her and a twelve-thousand-year-old site is not a coincidence. As the two dig into what the symbol means, the investigation pulls Atiye's family, her memories, and the boundaries of what she believes possible into question one by one.
