Synopsis
Shahmaran (Şahmaran, 2023), Season 1 — a Turkish fantasy mystery you can watch online on iFILM, eight episodes built around an old Anatolian myth. Şahsu travels to Adana for a lecture and to finally confront the grandfather she spent years avoiding.
What starts as a reckoning with her family pulls her into a living legend. The Mar people are waiting on a prophecy; Maran, quiet and wary, doubts every word of it until the first omen lands. A disaster near Anavarza rattles the town. Someone shadows Şahsu through the school. Each visit home shows her grandfather in a different light, and the closer she drifts to Maran, the plainer it gets that he is holding something back. By the season's end the omens arrive in a row, and the choice between love and her own nature stops being abstract.
