Season 2
"Who will bathe me when I die?"
Synopsis
Gassal (2024), Season 2 is a Turkish tragicomedy you can watch online on iFILM — ten episodes that leave Baki the mortician suddenly responsible for two orphaned kids.
A single man who washes the dead has almost no shot at custody, so Baki sets out to quit the job nobody else wants. Then comes Nihan, the new mortician he rents his late friend's house to, rules attached. A grandmother's funeral drags him back to the family that once abandoned him, a visit to his birth mother cracks something open, and a marriage of convenience slowly stops feeling convenient.
Built around the man who bathes bodies before burial, the show runs on deadpan humor and the awkward corners death keeps pushing its hero into. This season leans harder into family and warmth than the first one did. Watch Gassal Season 2 online on iFILM.
