The Late Offices (Gassal, 2024) is a Turkish dramedy you can watch online on iFILM. Baki spends his days washing the dead for burial — a job that keeps most people at arm's length.

He is in his thirties, prickly and perfectly fine alone, with exactly one friend to his name. Then a stranger knifes him in a graveyard. Baki survives, but a single question lodges itself in his head and won't leave: when his turn comes, who will wash his body? That dread pushes a confirmed loner out into the world to meet people and maybe even find a wife — which goes about as awkwardly as you would expect.

Directed by Selçuk Aydemir and his co-directors, the show takes the rhythm of a Turkish comedy and points it straight at mortality, so the laughs come out dry and a little funereal.
