Synopsis
Café Minamdang (2022) is a Korean mystery-comedy you can watch online on iFILM. The hook: a former criminal profiler now makes a living posing as an all-seeing shaman.
Han Jun (Seo In-guk) runs a shady storefront called Minamdang — incense and chanting out front, a sharp little crew gathering real evidence in the back. He actually cracks his clients' cases with cold deductive reasoning, then sells the answer as mysticism. His trouble arrives as Han Jae-hee (Oh Yeon-seo), a blunt detective from the violent crimes unit who has zero patience for con artists and sets out to expose the fake shaman. Naturally, the two end up chasing the same culprits side by side.
Adapted from Jung Jae-han's web novel, the show plays much lighter than its source, stacking its case-of-the-week structure with banter, sight gags and Seo In-guk's cheeky charm. A solid pick when you want a detective story that never gets too grim. Stream Café Minamdang (2022) online on iFILM.
