Synopsis
Reply 1994 (2013) is a Korean romantic comedy series from tvN — watch online on iFILM. Directed by Shin Won-ho, it uses the same nostalgic mystery format that made Reply 1997 a phenomenon the year before.
The story starts in the present: Na-jung is a grown woman in Seoul with a husband and son, looking back on her student years. In 1994, her parents opened a boarding house in the Sinchon district and filled it with young people from provinces across Korea, all arriving in the capital to study. Different dialects, shared meals, and everywhere the sound of Seo Taiji and Boys rewriting what Korean pop could be. The season-long riddle: which of the guys living under that roof did Na-jung end up marrying?
