Season 1
Even if you live for one day, live as a good person.
Synopsis
Prison Playbook (2017), Season 1 is a Korean crime drama you can watch online on iFILM — sixteen episodes that open days before star pitcher Kim Je-hyeok is set to fly out and join the Boston Red Sox, only for a prison sentence to land instead.
He's locked up for going too far while stopping a man who attacked his sister. On the other side of the bars, a childhood friend happens to work as a guard. From there the season isn't about escape or violence; it's about a celebrity learning to share a cell — the woodshop, the inmates' singing contest, the odd, funny, broken men who become his neighbors, each carrying a backstory of his own. Baseball keeps tugging at him, and whether he'll ever pitch again stays an open question.
It's a gentle tragicomedy from the director of the Reply series — warmth, comedy and a quiet ache in the same frame. Its strength is the ensemble, not the plot twists. Stream Prison Playbook Season 1 online on iFILM.
