WILL

WILL (WIL, 2023) is a Belgian wartime drama from director Tim Mielants, available to watch online on iFILM. Adapted from Jeroen Olyslaegers' novel, it drops you into Nazi-occupied Antwerp in the early 1940s, where an ordinary beat cop has to pick a side every single day.

Young policeman Wilfried Wils (Stef Aerts) wants nothing more than to keep his head down and stay alive. The occupied city gives him no neutral ground. A profiteer cozy with the Germans feeds him favors; his partner Lode pulls him toward the resistance. When the job forces him to take part in round-ups of Jewish families, the fence he's been sitting on collapses, and every choice draws blood.
