Synopsis

Emily invites Ines on a trip across Europe without telling her where it really leads. Bit by bit the truth surfaces: the journey is meant to end at a quiet place where Emily intends to leave life on her own terms. Ines learns this along the way and refuses to simply accept it. What follows is two days in which the sisters finally say everything left unspoken for years. The subject is heavy, and the film resists easy comfort.
Vikander and Green carry nearly the whole thing between them, with Charlotte Rampling and Charles Dance in smaller parts. It's slow and intimate, built on faces and silences rather than plot turns.
