Synopsis

This time scientists capture the famous monster and go further than the hunters before them: through surgery they rebuild his lungs so the amphibian can breathe air and survive on land. They treat it as a triumph. The creature never asked to be saved. Cut off from the deep water it belongs to, it aches for the ocean and lashes out at anyone who comes near — while the humans around it, busy with jealousy and ambition, prove far more dangerous than the beast.
The makeup and underwater photography carry the DNA of 1950s Universal horror, where the monster earns pity as much as fear.
