Synopsis
Cellar Door (2024) is an American horror-thriller you can watch online on iFILM. After a miscarriage, a couple is handed their dream house on a single condition: never open the cellar door.
Sera and John are desperate for a clean slate, and a gorgeous home for next to nothing feels like fate stepping in. The odd previous owner will sign it over cheap — as long as the new owners swear to leave the basement alone. The rule sounds trivial at first. Then the locked door starts working on them, the trust between husband and wife frays, and curiosity drags out consequences nobody saw coming.
Director Vaughn Stein reworks the old fable of the forbidden door and punished curiosity, dropping it into a polished house with a flawless kitchen. The cast features Jordana Brewster, Scott Speedman and Laurence Fishburne, whose character is the one handing over the poisoned gift.
