Sera and John are desperate for a clean slate, and a gorgeous home for next to nothing feels like fate stepping in. Then the locked door starts working on them, the trust between husband and wife frays, and curiosity drags out consequences nobody saw coming.
Director Vaughn Stein reworks the old fable of the forbidden door and punished curiosity, dropping it into a polished house with a flawless kitchen. The cast features Jordana Brewster, Scott Speedman and Laurence Fishburne, whose character is the one handing over the poisoned gift.
