Ne Zha

Ne Zha (2019) is a Chinese animated fantasy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Jiaozi (Yu Yang) in his feature debut. Based on the ancient Nezha mythology from the classic novel Fengshen Yanyi, the film went on to become the highest-grossing Chinese animated movie of its time — over $700 million worldwide.

The Chaos Pearl, a source of cosmic power, is split into two: a Spirit Pearl meant for good, and a Demon Pearl carrying a death sentence. A last-minute switch sends the Demon Pearl into the newborn son of Lord Li Jing. The child is named Ne Zha. He shoots fireballs, terrifies the village, and carries a prophecy: in three years, a lightning strike will erase him from existence. Ne Zha has other ideas. The film's tagline says it plainly — "Fight your fate."
