Synopsis
Tone-Deaf (2019) is a satirical horror from Richard Bates Jr. that you can watch online on iFILM. Newly jobless and freshly single, Olivia escapes the city for a quiet weekend, renting a country house to clear her head.
Her host is Harvey, a courtly old widower who quietly loathes everyone under forty. The peaceful getaway curdles into a hunt: Harvey has decided that careless millennials breed too freely, and he means to thin their ranks himself. Amanda Crew plays a target who refuses to stay one, while Robert Patrick's killer keeps breaking the fourth wall to rant straight at the camera about kids today.
Bates stages the generation war as a blood-soaked farce, complete with hallucinatory detours, pitch-black jokes and contempt aimed evenly at both sides. It's a divisive watch — sharp satire to some, hollow provocation to others. Stream Tone-Deaf (2019) online on iFILM.
