Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet (2013) is a Japanese sci-fi anime series you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Kazuya Murata at Production I.G. Lieutenant Ledo has spent his entire life inside a mech cockpit fighting for the Galactic Alliance against alien life forms. A failed wormhole jump drops him onto an uncharted ocean-covered planet where communities live aboard enormous interconnected ship fleets.

The people there have no record in his database and no interest in war. Ledo knows how to kill — that is the only thing he was ever trained to do. Voiced by Kaito Ishikawa, his halting attempt to function in a world that doesn't need a soldier is what drives the series forward.
