Synopsis
Crime Story (重案組, 1993) is a Hong Kong crime thriller starring Jackie Chan — watch it online on iFILM. Director Kirk Wong drew from a real kidnapping case that shook the city in the late 1980s, and the result is one of the few Chan films where the action exists to serve the story rather than the other way around.
Inspector Eddie Chan is assigned to guard a wealthy tycoon. The man gets taken anyway — fast, armed, no hesitation. The investigation that follows turns darker as Eddie realises the case runs straight through his own department. Ken Lo co-stars in a 103-minute film that trades Chan's signature comic energy for something considerably grimmer.
