It's Such a Beautiful Day (2011) is Don Hertzfeldt's animated short, available to watch online on iFILM. It runs barely over twenty minutes and is drawn in plain stick figures, yet it's among the most affecting things in independent animation.

The film follows Bill, an ordinary man whose mind is quietly coming apart. Dark, unsettling episodes push him to piece his own life back together from fragments of memory.
