Synopsis
The White Haired Witch of Lunar Kingdom (2014) is a Chinese wuxia fantasy you can watch online on iFILM. A rotting Ming court, a country sliding toward war, and a sorceress who answers cruelty with the sword.
As corrupt officials bleed the people and the Manchurians press at the border, the sorceress Jade Raksha — played by Fan Bingbing — takes the side of the oppressed and cuts down the soldiers sent to crush them. In revenge, local governors pin a murder on her, and overnight she and her followers become hunted outlaws. Tangled into all this is a forbidden love with a warrior played by Huang Xiaoming.
It's drawn from Liang Yusheng's much-adapted martial-arts novel, and director Jacob Cheung leans hard into lavish costumes, wire-fu flight and romance across a battlefield of betrayal.
