Synopsis
The Resistance Fighter (Kurier, 2019) is a Polish wartime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. It follows Jan Nowak-Jezioranski, the real courier who carried messages between the Home Army underground and Poland's government-in-exile in London. The summer of 1944. Nowak must slip back into occupied Warsaw with an order from the Polish prime minister — the Home Army's commanders have to hear it before the uprising begins. One checkpoint, one wrong face, and it all collapses. He works alongside a fellow operative, Emilia (Julie Engelbrecht), and a British agent played by Bradley James whose loyalties only overlap with Poland's for a while.
Rather than a flag-waving battle picture, Pasikowski builds a tense spy story out of couriers, codes and the quiet betrayals of intelligence work on the eve of disaster.
