Watch Bliss (2019) online on iFILM — Joe Begos's brutal horror film starring Dora Madison as Dezzy, a Los Angeles painter who cannot finish a commissioned canvas and decides a new drug called Diablo might fix the creative block. It does. It also does other things.

After the first dose, the work finally flows. But something else starts flowing too — a craving that has nothing to do with paint. Days blur. Dezzy wakes up not knowing what happened between midnight and dawn. The canvas fills up beautifully. The body count starts going in the wrong direction.

Begos shot the film on 16mm and cut it like a nightmare you can't pause. The grain, the strobing edits and a noise-metal score are all doing deliberate work — this is 80 minutes of sensory overload that earns comparison to 1980s body horror rather than just gesturing at it.
