Synopsis
A Cool Fish (无名之辈, 2018) is a Chinese crime tragicomedy you can watch online on iFILM. After a robbery goes sideways, two hopeless small-time crooks duck into a stranger's apartment — and walk straight into a mess far bigger than their loot.
From there the film braids several stories together: a paralyzed woman, bedridden and sharp-tongued, who wants nothing from anyone; her brother, a disgraced security guard desperate to win back a spot on the police force; and a stolen phone half the town is chasing. Everything collides over one chaotic night in a provincial city. The laughs and the heartbreak land in equal measure.
Director Rao Xiaozhi turns a handful of nobodies — that's what the original title 无名之辈 means — into a warm, messy portrait of people the world stopped counting.
