Synopsis

Santa Barbara Police Chief Carlton Lassiter is ambushed and left in critical condition. Shawn (James Roday Rodriguez) and Gus (Dulé Hill) drop everything and head back to help — only to find the case twisting through professional enemies, personal secrets, and the kind of supernatural detour that somehow never surprises them. Timothy Omundson's return as Lassiter carries extra weight: the actor suffered a real stroke in 2017, and his scenes here were written around his recovery.
