High Life

High Life (2018) is a French-German sci-fi drama from director Claire Denis that you can watch online on iFILM, starring Robert Pattinson and Juliette Binoche in one of the strangest and most uncompromising space films of recent years.

Monte and his infant daughter are the only survivors aboard a vessel heading toward a black hole. The crew were death-row inmates offered a commuted sentence in exchange for participating in a deep-space fertility experiment run by the ship's doctor, played by Binoche with an unsettling calm. The rest are gone. Monte is left drifting with a child he never agreed to father, in a craft that was always a one-way ticket.

Denis builds tension not through plot mechanics but through bodily confinement — the hum of recycled air, the weight of proximity, the fact that space outside offers no drama at all.
