Synopsis
MasterChef Australia (from 2009) is the Logie Award-winning cooking competition you can watch online on iFILM. Each season a fresh group of home cooks — nurses, teachers, office workers — leave their day jobs and fight for the MasterChef title and a $100,000 prize.
The panel has rotated over the years: Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris and Matt Preston fronted the first eleven seasons before Jock Zonfrillo, Andy Allen and Melissa Leong stepped in. Guests for challenges have included Gordon Ramsay, Heston Blumenthal, Nigella Lawson and Yotam Ottolenghi. Produced by Shine Australia for Network Ten, the show skews closer to craft than to contestant drama — the tension lives in the plate, not the confessional.
