Confetti

"Confetti" (2006) is a British mockumentary comedy you can watch online on iFILM — directed by Debbie Isitt and shot with the loose, uncomfortable intimacy of a crew that got too close.

Three couples are competing for the Most Original Wedding of the Year title, as awarded by Confetti magazine. One pair wants a full musical wedding, complete with a choir and choreography. Another is going for a tennis theme, ceremony and all. The third has decided on a nudist event. From there the planning unravels in ways that are specific, awkward and genuinely funny. Martin Freeman, Olivia Colman, Jessica Hynes and Robert Webb largely improvised their scenes, which gives the whole thing a texture that scripted comedy rarely hits.
