Synopsis

Born into a farming family in colonial Punjab, Bhagat Singh grows up watching the Raj crush any sign of resistance. He rejects Gandhi's non-violence and teams up with Sukhdev and Rajguru on targeted attacks against British officials. All three are hanged in March 1931 — despite petitions from the Indian National Congress. Santoshi shoots without the gloss of mainstream Bollywood: interrogation scenes and the execution carry a flat precision that cuts harder for it.
