Synopsis
The Adventurers (Los simuladores, 2002) is an Argentine action-comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Four men run a company that, on paper, doesn't exist. There are no contracts — only a handshake and a problem to fix.
They call their work "simulations." A client shows up with trouble that money and lawyers can't touch: a tyrant boss, a swindler who vanished with the savings, a marriage being torn apart. The team builds a dossier, writes a script, and stages an elaborate con until the real villain walks himself into a trap. Federico D'Elía plays the cold strategist, Diego Peretti handles the costumes and characters, while Alejandro Fiore and Martín Seefeld cover the gadgets and groundwork. No guns are ever drawn — just psychology, disguise and timing.
The show launched director Damián Szifrón, who later made the Oscar-nominated Wild Tales. You can already see his signature here: chaos engineered with a clockmaker's precision. A cult hit in Argentina, it spawned remakes across Latin America and Europe. Think of it as Ocean's Eleven broken into bite-sized episodes about small, well-earned revenge.
