Young warrior Parn sets out to clear his disgraced father's name, joined by the high elf Deedlit, a priest, a mage, a thief, and a dwarf. The threat ahead is real: a dark sorcerer schemes to resurrect a goddess of destruction while the island's kingdoms drift toward war. The pacing is unhurried and occasionally unforgiving — minor characters die before they're fully known, and the series treats that loss as weight rather than drama.
