Izetta: The Last Witch (終末のイゼッタ, 2016) is a 12-episode anime series you can watch online on iFILM, set in an alternate 1940 where a small Alpine nation called Eylstadt faces invasion by the militarist empire of Germania. Princess Finé, voiced by Himika Akaneya, assumes command of the country's defense after her father falls gravely ill.

She finds an unexpected ally in Izetta — Europe's last surviving witch, voiced by Saori Hayami — who goes into battle riding an anti-tank rifle rather than a broomstick. The show handles its premise with real seriousness: magic here has hard limits, those limits drive the plot, and the political stakes stay genuinely precarious throughout. Kana Hanazawa and Junichi Suwabe round out a strong cast.
