Synopsis
Dil Se.. (1998) is a Hindi romantic drama from director Mani Ratnam that you can watch online on iFILM. Radio journalist Amar meets a stranger on a rainy platform one night and falls for her in a heartbeat.
Shah Rukh Khan plays an All India Radio reporter sent to the country's restless northeast to cover a separatist movement. The elusive Meghna (Manisha Koirala) keeps drifting in and out of his life, brushing off his love while plainly hiding something. Amar returns to Delhi and agrees to an arranged marriage with the warm, chatty Preeti. Then Meghna shows up at his door, and the truth about her mission finally surfaces.
This is the closing chapter of Mani Ratnam's so-called terrorism trilogy, after Roja and Bombay. A. R. Rahman wrote the score, and the song "Chaiyya Chaiyya" was shot on top of a moving train — a sequence people still pull up and rewatch on its own. It also gave Preity Zinta her screen debut.
