Synopsis
Free Money (1998) is a Canadian crime comedy you can watch online on iFILM, with a cast that raises the premise well above its B-movie ambitions: Charlie Sheen and Thomas Haden Church play two hapless brothers-in-law, while Marlon Brando chews every scene as their tyrannical father-in-law, the prison warden everyone calls "The Swede."
The Swede runs his small town like a personal penitentiary, locking up anyone who crosses him — including his own sons-in-law. Bud and Larry decide the only exit is a train robbery. Director Yves Simoneau builds out the farce from there: Donald Sutherland plays an FBI agent trailing the Swede, Mira Sorvino and Martin Sheen fill in the edges, and the chase keeps escalating as every side pursues every other side across the Canadian countryside.
