Synopsis
The Sniffer (Нюхач, 2013), Season 1 — watch online on iFILM: 8 episodes of this Russian-Ukrainian crime drama built around an investigator whose nose works like forensic hardware. Viktor from the Bureau of Investigations keeps him on call; the Sniffer keeps everyone else at arm's length.
Eight self-contained cases, one slow-burning personal thread. The Sniffer's teenage son turns up holding a gun over a corpse with drugs in his bag — and the detective in charge won't let anyone near him. The other cases stack fast: a sniper hitting two unconnected targets, a forged Repin inside a national museum, soldiers murdered in a military hospital, a businessman's child taken for ransom, a body at a criminal summit. By the final episode an unmarked package arrives with no scent at all, and a serial killer begins a game.
