Synopsis

A former prosecutor is shot dead in the forest; the men who go to catch the killer become targets instead. That case is the prologue. The real spine of the third season starts at a funeral in Tallinn, where the Sniffer learns his father knew he was going to die — he left a letter that someone removed before the son arrived — and that his father's closest friend has been murdered. The thread leads to Professor Lokmus, a corporate scandal with roots in a Tokyo courtroom, and a chain of killings that seem random: an opera singer, a missing reality show contestant, a journalist who told the wrong person what he'd found. A bug turns up inside the father's house. The third season makes the Sniffer's own past the crime scene. Two SBI agents die in the finale, and the one man who can smell everything disappears.
