Synopsis
Dead Talents Society (鬼才之道, 2024) is a Taiwanese horror-comedy from director John Hsu you can watch online on iFILM. In its afterlife, the dead survive like working actors: a ghost who can no longer scare the living simply fades out of existence for good.
A shy young woman dies and lands at the very bottom of this spectral ranking — she can't frighten anyone. Two faded talents take her on: a fast-talking agent and a washed-up diva of horror who hasn't booked a haunting in years. Together they cook up a routine to claw their way back to the top of the urban-legend charts, and the more ridiculous the scare, the better the odds of not dissolving into nothing.
Hsu blends classic ghost-story imagery, showbiz satire and a surprisingly tender thread about self-doubt.
