Synopsis
Watch Benny Loves You (2019) online on iFILM — a British horror-comedy written, directed, and starring Karl Holt. Jack is in his early thirties and still going nowhere. After his parents die, he decides it's time to throw out the childhood junk and become a functioning adult. Top of the pile: Benny, the stuffed toy his mum gave him to chase away the dark.
Bad call. Benny comes to life and takes the bin bag personally. What follows is slasher logic applied to a plush toy — the body count rises, Jack's life gets measurably worse, and his love interest Claire Catwright has no idea what she's walking into.
Holt made this one essentially solo — script, camera, edit, lead performance — and the shoestring budget shows in the best possible way. It's the kind of scrappy, genre-loving low-budget creature feature that doesn't try to be anything else. Stream Benny Loves You (2019) on iFILM.
