Synopsis
Baptiste (2019), Season 2 is the BBC crime drama's darker second run — six episodes to watch online on iFILM. Older and badly broken, Julien Baptiste takes on a case in Budapest that costs more than the first ever did.
Britain's ambassador to Hungary, Emma Chambers (Fiona Shaw), loses her whole family when her husband and two sons vanish on a trip. Baptiste (Tchéky Karyo) and Hungarian detective Zsofia chase a tattooed man, run up against far-right politician Kamilla Agoston, and slowly grasp that the abduction is only the edge of something larger being readied in the city. The clock, not a ransom, sets the pace.
Where the Amsterdam story belonged to Julien, this season belongs to Emma — her grief drives the plot as hard as the investigation does, and Shaw plays it with no half-measures. The finale spares no one. Stream Baptiste Season 2 online on iFILM.
