Synopsis
Not My Type (Les Goûts et les Couleurs, 2022) is a French comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Marcia, a young Parisian singer, lands the chance she always wanted — to cut an album with her idol.
Daredjane, an eccentric '70s rock icon, hears something special in the shy newcomer. Then, just before release, the star dies. To put the record out, Marcia has to win over the rights-holder: Anthony, a cocky suburban market vendor who never had any time for his distant relative or her songs. Their tastes, manners and ideas of honesty could hardly be further apart. Félix Moati, Judith Chemla and Rebecca Marder head the cast.
Director Michel Leclerc turns the culture clash into something warm, letting friction drift toward affection without forcing it. A nice fit for an easy evening with no melodrama attached. Stream Not My Type (2022) online on iFILM.
