Synopsis
Malibu Shark Attack (2009) is a made-for-TV disaster-horror you can watch online on iFILM. An undersea quake throws a tsunami at the California coast, and the same wave drags a pack of prehistoric goblin sharks up from the deep and straight onto Malibu.
The beach gets cleared before the water hits, but a handful of lifeguards and a construction crew end up trapped in the flood zone. Between them and dry land sit hungry predators with snouts you almost never see near the surface. Peta Wilson leads as the head lifeguard, with Chelan Simmons and Warren Christie alongside her. Director David Lister never pretends this is a blockbuster, and half the fun lives right there.
It's a straight-up B-grade creature ride: sharks where you least expect them, rising water, no easy way out. Great for a popcorn night when you want monsters and no pretension. Stream Malibu Shark Attack (2009) online on iFILM.
