Special (2019) is an American Netflix comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Ryan O'Connell created, wrote, and stars in it as a version of himself: a gay man with mild cerebral palsy who gets clipped by a car and quietly lets everyone assume the limp came from the accident.

That small lie becomes the engine of everything. He lands his first real job, goes on actual dates, and starts building a life he chose rather than one circumstance handed him. Jessica Hecht plays his mother, who he keeps almost as many secrets from as everyone else. Punam Patel is the best friend who sees through most of it.
