The Man Who Feels No Pain

The Man Who Feels No Pain (2019) is an Indian action comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Vasan Bala. Surya is a young man born with congenital insensitivity to pain — not a metaphor, not willpower, just his nervous system doing something extremely rare.

Abhimanyu Dasani stars in his debut role alongside Radhika Madan; Gulshan Devaiah plays the opponent.

The film took the Midnight Madness audience award at TIFF 2018. Bala built it as an open letter to 80s action cinema — the choreography deliberately excessive, the humor shameless, the whole thing sincere in a way that makes irony beside the point.
