Synopsis
The Pool (2018) is a Thai survival thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Ping Lumpraploeng. After a commercial shoot wraps, set decorator Day stays behind to float on an inflatable raft in a six-meter pool and drifts off to sleep. While he's out, the water gets drained.
When he wakes up, climbing out is impossible: there's no ladder, the rim is too high, and the water has dropped so far there's nothing to grip. Then his girlfriend Koi tumbles in, cracks her head, and goes still. To make it worse, a hungry crocodile slips down from a nearby farm into the empty basin. From there it's pure problem-solving against the clock — every centimeter of remaining water, every object on the floor, and every wrong move decides who sees morning.
Almost the entire film runs on a single location and a single trapped man, and that's exactly what makes it work: tight, anxious, stripped of clutter. It's a good fit for fans of survival horror like The Shallows and Don't Breathe, who like tension built from the plain geometry of a trap. Stream The Pool (2018) online on iFILM.
