Hope

Hope (호프, 2026) is a South Korean sci-fi mystery thriller you can watch online on iFILM. It all unfolds in Hope Harbor, a remote fishing village where outsiders almost never turn up.

Police chief Bum-seok and officer Sung-ae get pulled into a strange call: something is tearing through the community, and nobody can say what. At first it reads like a wild animal on the loose. The longer the two dig, though, the less the pieces fit. Ignorance breeds fear, fear curdles into neighbor-against-neighbor conflict, and the whole town slides toward a disaster far bigger than its borders.

Director Na Hong-jin — the man behind The Wailing and The Chaser — works his usual trick here, letting a grounded crime story rot quietly into something otherworldly. The sprawling international cast brings together Hwang Jung-min, Jung Ho-yeon, Alicia Vikander, Michael Fassbender and Taylor Russell. At nearly three hours, the film builds by accumulation rather than shocks, until a small-town puzzle opens out into tragedy on a cosmic scale.
