Sam Raimi launched the franchise in 1981 on a shoestring in the Tennessee woods. It grew into sequels, a cult TV run with Ash vs Evil Dead, and the 2023 standalone Evil Dead Rise. Galluppi's debut was The Last Stop in Yuma County (2023) — tightly controlled slow-burn, very different from Raimi's manic energy.
