Sputnik

Sputnik (2020) is a Russian sci-fi horror film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Egor Abramenko. The USSR, 1983. Cosmonaut Veshnyakov comes back from orbit alive — the only survivor of his mission. The authorities call it a miracle. The medical staff at the classified facility start calling it something else entirely.

Oksana Akinshina plays Dr. Tatyana Klimova, a neurophysiologist brought in to assess Veshnyakov's condition; Pyotr Fyodorov is the cosmonaut, a man who knows exactly what's living inside him and isn't sure he wants it removed. Fyodor Bondarchuk rounds out the central cast as the colonel applying pressure from above. Sputnik is one of the few Russian genre films that found a real international audience — Cold War paranoia, a creature that runs by its own logic, and a lead performance that holds everything together.
