Synopsis
My Sweet Monster (Бука, 2021) is a Russian animated adventure you can watch online on iFILM, tagged with a wink as "Cutie and the beast." Headstrong princess Barbara bolts from the palace and heads into the forest chasing a handsome prince. What she finds instead is Buka — the kingdom's most feared bandit.
The fairy tale promptly goes sideways. Rather than cower, Barbara takes charge, making the gruff outlaw's life a daily ordeal as she bends the whole forest to her plans. Slowly the dreaded Buka softens. It is a family-friendly comedy about an unstoppable girl and a lonely creature learning to put up with each other, directed by Viktor Glukhushin and Maksim Volkov and running 98 minutes.
