Synopsis

Colt Seavers has spent his career getting set on fire and slammed into pavement so movie stars look brave. Then one gag goes wrong, his back breaks, and he walks away from the business for good. A year later he gets pulled back: his ex, Jody, is directing her first big-budget sci-fi epic, and the film's leading man has vanished. Colt agrees to find the guy, half hoping to win Jody back too. What he stumbles into instead is a cover-up, with car chases, brawls and a stack of stunts piling up between him and the truth.
Built loosely on the 1980s TV series, the movie plays like a thank-you note to the crews who take the real falls. Leitch packed it with practical work, including a Guinness record for the most cannon rolls in a car. Gosling and Blunt trade jabs so well the love story holds its own against the wreckage.
