Synopsis
The Wild Soccer Bunch (Die Wilden Kerle, 2003) is a German family comedy about backyard football you can watch online on iFILM. Joachim Masannek adapted his own children's book series and put a scrappy crew of kids on the pitch, the kind who can't imagine a summer without a ball at their feet.
Holidays, best friends, a broken window and grounded star players. Rain turns their beloved field into a swamp, and while they wait it out, a pack of older, bigger, meaner boys claims the ground. There's only one way to settle it: a match, winner takes the pitch for good.
The film kicked off a whole German franchise of sequels and spin-offs, and half the team is played by actor Uwe Ochsenknecht's own kids.
