Synopsis
Baghban (2003) is Ravi Chopra's Indian family drama you can watch online on iFILM. Raj and Pooja Malhotra have spent forty years together and raised four sons, sparing neither effort nor money.
When Raj retires, he asks for something simple: to grow old beside his wife with his children nearby. Instead the sons split the couple up like a burden — the father sent to one household, the mother to another, separated for the first time in decades. Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini carry the whole film on the quiet dignity of people betrayed by their own. Their letters and stolen phone calls are the strongest scenes here.
Running alongside is the thread of an adopted son (Salman Khan) who, unlike the biological children, remembers what he owes. Across nearly three hours of songs and tears, the poster's blunt question hangs over everything: can you depend on your family? Baghban became one of Bollywood's biggest hits of 2003 and still lands hard with anyone watching their own parents age. A melodrama with no half-tones, aimed straight at the sense of duty.
