Synopsis
One & Two (2015) is a brooding fantasy drama you can watch online on iFILM. Teenage siblings Zac and Eva live on an isolated farm ringed by a tall wooden wall, under the rule of a severe father.
The two share a gift: they can blink from one spot to another in an instant. Their father treats the power as a curse and forbids any mention of it, their mother is wasting away from an unnamed illness, and beyond the wall lies a world the children have been taught to fear. As the house grows more suffocating, Zac and Eva start planning to get out before they're pulled apart. The film runs on silence, landscape and slow dread rather than effects.
It's the feature debut of cinematographer Andrew Droz Palermo, and an early lead for Timothée Chalamet, opposite Kiernan Shipka of Sabrina. A patient, atmospheric piece for anyone drawn to magic realism with the volume turned down. Stream One & Two (2015) online on iFILM.
